Welcome to the all new LEEPAC Newsletter, in HTML form! I'm hoping that this format will make getting news from LEEPAC a little more interesting, professional, and better to read. It's our hope that we can decrease the number of emails coming to you, and instead send this email to you on a regular basis.

Election Time!

It's that time of year again. Per the LEEPAC bylaws, it's time to nominate and elect a new Executive Board. On the LEEPAC Home Page, you will find a link to the nomination form. Please download, fill out, and either email or regular mail to LEEPAC President Jeff Rodrigues. Nominations run through May, with elections in June. All current members will receive a ballot via mail for elections. New Board Officers will take office July 1.

Concurrent with your election ballot, you will be recieving a ballot asking for revisions to our bylaws. These are important changes that will shape LEEPAC forever. First, you will be asked if you favor a change in the name of the Association from LEEPAC to CalDOCA (California Designing Out Crime Association). Second, you will be asked to allow for a broader range of professionals to be allowed as General Members. Your Executive Board feels that these changes are appropriate to keep up with the changing face of CPTED, and will allow for more broad base of knowledge in this changing time.

LEEPAC Message Forum Now Available!

We are happy to announce that our message forum is now available. It is open to all LEEPAC members, and is administered to require all new accounts be validated by an administrator. NOTE: The forum is new, and is a "work in progress". Features may be added or removed, and the appearance may change as we are working out the bugs. Please check out the forum here. A link from the LEEPAC Home Page will be provided soon.

International Best Practices Materials Now Available

After a week of fun and education in Las Vegas, I am back, and bringing goodies to all LEEPAC members. Log into the Member's Only section of the website, and right on top are the materials from each of the three conference days.
